Simple Healthy Eating – my tips
Posted On 30/07/2020
In a world of excess choice it seems we are getting more and more confused about what healthy eating really means.
How often do you see a new ‘super food’ or crazy diet that ‘guarantees’ weight loss? I have been drawn into many of these in the past and always felt disappointed with the lack of results.
But in my years of study and working with clients I have seen that the very best approach to healthy eating is to keep it simple!
When it comes to it wherever possible cook your food from fresh ingredients. If you can afford organic great, if you can’t its not the end of the world and as long as the food is fresh you can’t go wrong. I am lucky to have an allotment space at the bottom of my garden and a greenhouse, so I take pleasure in growing a lot of my own food in summer. Even the smallest of spaces can yield a little salad or a tomato plant.
Good nutrition and a healthy life doesn’t have to be daunting. It helps if you are reasonable at cooking but we all have to start somewhere and it can be a fun pass time too, especially if the family get involved. Get those cook books out and start with something easy!
